Get new commanders by opening beacons. Beacons can be obtained in the following ways:
- Playtime and login rewards
- Progression events
- Campaign, ships and equipment achievements
- Earn stars in the campaign
- Gain a rank in the arena
- Alliance boss rewards
- Complete certain daily challenge tasks
- Complete all weekly challenges and get 3 Specialist Beacons
- Complete all monthly challenges and claim an Expert Beacon
- Participate in the free path of the battle pass
- Visit the shop
- Complete certain stages of the contract objectives
- Get an Epic beacon for completing all contract objectives for part 2 and 3
There are also instances where you can get guaranteed commanders:
- Contract Objectives: Receive Epic commander, Butcher for completing all objectives in part 1
- Premium Battle Pass: Reach level 40 to get a legendary commander
